What We Are Reading
This week, Kyrie and Cori discuss Pachinko by Min Jin Lee. This 500 page book has been on our radar for a while. It was a Top 10 Book of 2017 for New York Times as well as a National Book Award Finalist. This book was picked to fulfill the 2018 Modern Mrs. Darcy Reading Challenge category of a book that is 500 pages or more. Pachinko is sweeping historical fiction family saga tarts in the 1940’s and covers four generations of a Korean family living in Japan.
What We Are Drinking
During their discussion, Kyrie and Cori drink Blue Suede Tea. The tea maker is Birch Fine Teas and it was in our Sipsby box. It turns an amazing blue green color and is tasty to boot! This green tea based blend tastes like cake batter to Cori and burnt caramel to Kyrie. You should totally try Sipsby. They provide you with four teas to try, a reusable muslin tea bag, and disposable bags (amounting to 45 cups of tea). Head over to Sipsby to fill out a profile AND get $5 off your first box!

Coming Up Next Week
We’re doing our fun Summer Series to celebrate our one year anniversary of podcasting! We are having tea with Heather, the owner of Flagstaff Tea Company, where she will provide us some history on tea, what made her decide to own a tea shop, as well as tell us what’s helpful for tea reviews. Heather is also graciously serving us a chai tea flight, so stay tuned to hear about the tea and the Flagstaff Tea Company! Note: Because we will be recording in her tea shop, the sound might not be as great, but this is what live recordings is all about people! So enjoy it!
